My biggest takeaway from High School is the importance of having a reason for doing something.

I struggled a lot with my faith in my first year of high school, especially with doubting and finding my reason or purpose.

But during the past few years, what's helped me the most is giving myself a reason and a why. My faith has really helped me to look outside myself, knowing that it's not all about me. It's about giving myself a purpose and wanting to be there for other people. I really want to be more selfless.

The mentors that have influenced my life are my parents, and then Hannah and David. I have known David and Hannah since I was nine years old. They have always been there for me, providing a safe space. Whenever I have questions or struggles, they've just always been available to me. When I need to get away, I feel comfortable going to their house.

I’m looking forward to college, where I will meet new people, experience new things, see new places, and travel. I decided to go to a Christian college because I want a constant reminder in my life that will help me keep my focus on God by surrounding myself with people of faith."
